Those who don't like to think much will perhaps poo-poo it, though there is plenty of action to be found. But mostly, it works as a psychological thriller that examines that deeper motives behind the characters that are only too-briefly sketched in the films and cartoons. And that makes for an intense ride. As regards the continuity-issues, Miller simply made a mistake in putting in the one-month post-Geonosis date for Anakin's knighting. Since the fans are required to ignore all the dates in the other (earlier) Clone Wars books, why not ALSO ignore the date in this one? Since all Lucas said was the Anakin was knighted early in the Clone Wars, I see no need to slavishly follow the erroneous one-month statement when it makes much more sense to say that Anakin was knighted anywhere from two to six months after Geonosis, and that the author/historian in Wild Space made a mistake. Currently, I'm about to start the New Jedi Order books, but I do want to read theses as well. Also, I know that Gilad Pelleaon is in one of them as a Captain in the Republic, so I want to read that one as well. Overall, I think that it is a good gateway book as it is at the beginning of the Clone Wars. No complaints from me. Does anyone know why there wasn't a Gateway book last month?
