Meet Katie Goldman: a beautiful little first-grader whose love of Star Wars has made her a target for a group of bullies in her school. These boys have told Katie that she can’t bring a Star Wars thermos or backpack to school because “they’re for boys.” After Katie’s mom Carrie, a writer for Chicago Now, blogged about Katie’s troubles, the Star Wars community came to her defense, showering Katie with supportive comments, gifts and more.
