Far be it to me to encourage you to leave the comfy confines of suvudu.com, but you really must see this video at WindsorThisWeek.ca. Canadian David Pemberton has built his own full-sized R2-D2 astromech droid. It functions under its own power, has fully operational utility arms and makes the full suite of sounds that the real droid does. Sadly, this R2 has to be operated with a remote control rather than wandering about bleeping all on his own, but wow, imagine having this thing!
