Every week, I’ll be bringing you a comic book cover that I feel eclipses others out there—to the point I might just have to own it!
The BadAss Comic Book Cover for this week is for Infinity #4. Why do I love this cover? One, I am a huge Thor fan. I’ve always loved the character and I particularly enjoyed his movie and role in The Avengers movie. I’ve come close several times to buying a movie replica of his hammer. Hundreds and hundreds of dollars. I guess I have an affinity for lightning! At any rate, when I saw this cover, I loved it immediately. I am a minimalist when it comes to comic book art and Adam Kubert has long been one of my favorite pencilers, a man who uses lines to great effect. It’s on show here. He does wonderful work with negative space.
And with the thick bolt of lightning descending on Thor from the heavens, it makes for a powerful piece.
