Carrie Fisher to Return to Star Wars

Princess_Leia's_characteristic_hairstyleThey’re getting the band back together! First we heard rumors via Latino Review that Harrison Ford was planning to reprise his role as Han Solo in the 2015 Star Wars films, and now Carrie Fisher has officially confirmed that she’ll be coming back as Princess Leia.

Fisher spilled the beans in an interview with Jennifer Pratt of Palm Beach Illustrated. Check it out: it’s pretty funny.

Disney is going to continue the Star Wars saga, producing movies set to hit theaters starting in 2015. Can you confirm whether you’ll reprise the role of Princess Leia?

Yes.

What do you think Princess Leia is like today?

Elderly. She’s in an intergalactic old folks’ home [laughs].

I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle.

And still wearing the bagel buns?

The bagel buns and the bikini, because probably she has sundowners syndrome. At sundown, she thinks that she’s 20-something. And she puts it on and gets institutionalized.

Can’t wait!

Just a correction. Harrison Ford = Han Solo. Mark Hamill, on the other hand played Luke Skywalker. Enjoying your articles though – keep it up!

George Lucas have said that his movies “rime”. So my vague general predictions for episodes 7-9 are:
    Episode 7:
Luke Skywalker dies in lightsaber battle like Ben Kenobi in episode 4 and Qui-Gon in Episode 1
The will be a starfigther battle against a large space object like the Battles of Yavin and Naboo.

    Episode 8:
The main protagonist gets a body part chop off like Luke in Episode 5 and Anakin in Episode 2.
Protagonists gets separated in two groups each on their own adventure and meet at the end like.
There will be one ground battle like Hoth and Geonosis.

    Episode 9:
Large fleet battle like Endor in Episode 6 and Corruscant in Episode 3.

That is it. As I said. Very vague and very general.

The only way those movies will be good, is if they follow the timelines that the books have followed. I think that was a requirement when Disney purchased the franchise.

@amy I was reading about the new series when disney bought lucasfilm. And it mentioned something like disney was going to ignore the expanded universe with the new trilogy. I honestly hope that rumor is not true.
